Three decades ago, I welcomed my first daughter into the world. It was then that I realized that I wanted to create clothing of exceptional quality that could be passed down to future children. As parents, we strive to provide the best for our little ones, and I found that this was not reflected in the clothing options available at the time. With nothing but a secondhand sewing machine and a table in my kitchen, I began my journey as a seamstress surrounded by an abundance of fabric, and my love for sewing quickly flourished.

Over the course of 30 years, a significant amount of events have occurred. I've held various job positions, including working at K-Mart and being a dog groomer. However, the most significant role I've taken on is that of a mother, raising three wonderful children. My journey has taken me to rural Victoria, where I resided for a while, and I've also spent many years working at a large fabric and crafting store, managing the fabrics department - a paradise for any home crafter.

My life is always full of excitement and activity! I take care of three rescued horses and a donkey on my property, alongside my shift-working husband who has a routine appetite, and four elderly feline friends. Enduring through droughts and occasional floods, my household never has a dull moment. Despite all of this, I am grateful to have three wonderful children who have grown into amazing adults, and to be a Noni to four beautiful grandchildren - three girls and one boy.

I have created numerous clothing items and costumes that I would generously give away as presents. However, after receiving positive feedback from family and friends about the exceptional quality of my work, they encouraged me to consider selling my garments instead. They believed that my creations surpassed even the boutique clothing found in stores.

Let me tell you the story of Sassy Poppets, formerly known as Cheekie Darlings, which came to life about seven years ago. From the very beginning, I have been creating unique garments that are one of a kind. I have an impressive collection of dresses, shirts, rompers, skirts, and more. I remember taking my garments to a local market and receiving overwhelming positive feedback from the customers. This experience inspired me to continue doing what I love. Over time, I have expanded my selection of goods to include printed T-shirts for both adults and children, keyrings, tumblers, mugs, and much more. I am excited to bring forth new and exciting products in the near future, so keep an eye out!

Starting anew can be quite fulfilling, and I'm grateful to have my youngest daughter, Tarin, by my side as we freshen up my Facebook page. With her help, we were able to showcase my beautiful garments and attract the attention of family and friends. The positive comments and the increase in sales were truly heartwarming. Taking it a step further, my sister Sonia recommended that I embrace modern technology and create a website to showcase my work and provide more options for customers to purchase from me. This led me to establish my own spiffy store.
